This excursion served as a valuable educational experience as the students are studying Verbatim Theatre for their HSC and this relevant play was another example of this exciting theatre form. We were also treated to a question/answer session with the playwright, Alana Valentine which was informative and inspiring.

Year 12's, please post any comments below about the performance and what you thought about the use of theatrical techniques in this massage Verbatim play.

  1. I found it particularly good how she didn't just limit it to one 'group' of people, she also included christians and homosexuals. I did feel that it was more dramatically capturing than laramie project.
It seemed that some of the theatrical techniques could have been thought out more, such as the throwing of the liquid stuff.
In the end, it moved me, being a victim of bullying, and felt that it portrayed the voice of the victims to bullying in a positive and honest way.
